The COVID-19 pandemic has certainly impacted all of us and presented tremendous challenges. When you consider that people living with disabilities are an already vulnerable population who are more likely to experience community barriers, the impact of the pandemic has been even more severe for them.

SOAR Fox Cities recognizes the unique challenges that people with disabilities face as a result of COVID-19. The team at SOAR continues to find ways to empower and support people with differing abilities. In 2020, SOAR launched virtual sessions and adapted programming to keep participants engaged, supported and socially connected. A Corn Roast delivery, Baking Classes on Zoom, Crafts and Games on Facebook Live, Parking Lot Bingo, and a Trunk-or-Treat event are a few of the many activities that SOAR offered. These activities continue to offer people with differing abilities a place where they can feel comfortable and find support even through hard times.
